A senior executive in international business at BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) revealed that the company is in negotiations with Stellantis NV and other European automakers to take over idle production plants in the region, Chinese media reported. Li Ke, Executive Vice President of BYD COMPANY, disclosed that the company is discussing potential transactions to take over factories in countries including Italy. She said the company is not only in talks with Stellantis NV, but is also communicating with other firms, seeking any available plants in Europe as the group aims to utilize such idle capacity.
