CHINA TELECOM (00728.HK) guided its capital expenditure for this year to be RMB73 billion, representing a YoY downfall of 9.2%. Among this, investment in computing infrastructure was set to mount 26% YoY, raising its proportion to 35%.

Chairman cum CEO Ke Ruiwen stated that AI Data Centers (AI DC) will be the major source of future revenue and profit, with more than 20 high-power projects already in place, totaling 1.2 gigawatts and contract amounts exceeding RMB100 million.
