Iran intensified its attacks on energy infrastructure in the Gulf region, leading to damage at the world's largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) export plant located in Qatar.

As a result, European natural gas prices rallied, with benchmark futures prices mounting by 35%. Since the onset of the Iran war, prices have surged by over 1x.
