Hong Kong stocks opened higher in the morning session. The HSI opened 104 points or 0.4% higher at 25,938. The HSCEI opened 23 points or 0.3% higher at 8,839. The HSTECH opened 25 points or 0.5% higher at 5,137. All conditions for Ant Group’s share acquisition in BRIGHT SMART (01428.HK) have been met, with the deal expected to be completed by 30 March, boosting its share price by 64.6% to $15.26. For other financials, HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK) and AIA (01299.HK) climbed 0.6%, while HKEX (00388.HK) ticked up 0.1%. LEAPMOTOR (09863.HK) added 0.8% as it turned into an annual profit of RMB540 million. For other automakers, BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) lifted 0.9% to $105.2, while XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) ascended 0.6%.
