Volkswagen has announced the commencement of mass production for the first car model developed with XPENG-W (09868.HK), according to foreign media reports. Currently, Volkswagen is attempting to re-enter the Chinese market. It plans to roll out over 20 new cars this year, including the ID. UNYX 08, a full-size electric SUV under the technical partnership established with XPENG-W in 2023. Set to hit the market in 1H26, the ID. UNYX 08 features an autonomous driving system and AI chips provided by XPENG-W. The second electric vehicle jointly developed by the two companies is expected to be launched later this year.
