China's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MOHRSS) is collaborating with relevant departments to draft the 15th Five-Year employment special plan, said Wang Xiaoping, Minister of Human Resources and Social Security, during a press conference on livelihood themes held at the National People's Congress sessions. This plan aims to devise a series of practical and high-value major employment policies and action plans, enhance support for labor-intensive industries such as foreign trade, construction, accommodation, and catering, and explore employment potential in the digital economy, high-end manufacturing, and modern services sectors. Given that the rapid AI development is having a profound impact on employment, Wang stressed that the MOHRSS is researching relevant policies to leverage AI in creating new jobs and empowering traditional roles, ultimately promoting inclusive development that aligns technological progress with livelihood improvement.
