In January 2026, a total of 1.329 million units of China-branded passenger vehicles were sold, representing an MoM decrease of 32.1% and a YoY decrease of 8.9%, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM)'s data showed. China-branded passenger vehicles accounted for 66.9% of the total passenger vehicle sales, with the sales share down by 1.5 ppts compared to the same period last year.
