The power shortage in Europe and the US, along with the overseas expansion of Chinese-produced computing power tokens, may benefit power equipment companies, CICC wrote in its research report. Given the outdated power grid infrastructure in Europe and the US and recent frequent blizzard warnings, the risk of power outages is escalating, which CICC believes will, in turn, raise systemic risk. The broker remains optimistic about the global initiation of a major cycle of power investment. In terms of stock selection, CICC prefers MINGYANG ELECTRIC (301291.SZ), JINPAN TECH (688676.SH), EAGLERISE (002922.SZ), SIFANG HOLDINGS (601126.SH), SIEYUAN ELEC (002028.SZ), DONGFANG ELEC (01072.HK) (600875.SH), CHINA XD (601179.SH), and WASION HOLDINGS (03393.HK).
