Macau's GGR for the first 15 days of February may reach approx. MOP8.8 billion, implying that the average daily GGR for the previous week was about MOP543 million, approx. 26% lower than January's average daily GGR of around MOP730 million, also about 13% below the average daily GGR of approx. MOP625 million during the first 8 days of February 2025, Citi Research issued a research report saying. Citi Research believed that the slowdown in average daily GGR may be due to seasonal factors before the Lunar New Year (LNY) and a lower-than-normal VIP hold rate. VIP volumes fell by about 18-20% MoM, while mass GGR decreased by about 15-17% MoM, reflecting a lower VIP hold rate, The broker quoted industry data as saying. Citi Research now lowered its February GGR forecast from MOP20.5 billion to MOP20 billion, representing a YoY increase of about 1%, implying an average daily GGR for the remainder of the month of approx.
