CN CAC Takes Strict Measures to Rectify Spread of False Information Without AI Labels

Some online accounts have recently been publishing AI-generated or synthesized information without adding AI labels, leading to issues of deceiving and misleading the public with false content, damaging the internet ecosystem, and causing adverse effects, according to CCTV.

The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) urged website platforms to conduct thorough inspections and rectifications, resulting in the removal of 13,421 accounts in accordance with laws and regulations, and the cleanup of over 543,000 pieces of illegal and non-compliant information.
