Cindy Chow, Executive Director and CEO of Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund (AEF), expressed no concern about the impact of US-China geopolitical tensions on Chinese AI companies, according to Nikkei Asia. She believes Chinese AI companies have sufficient competitiveness, with the key being their readiness to enter different markets. At the end of 2024, AEF established a dedicated fund focusing on investments in AI applications, though it has no intention to invest in chips or AI data centers. The fund completed two transactions last year, one involving a company based in China and another involving a company located in Silicon Valley with a development team in China.
