HKEX: Jan. Avg. Daily Turnover $272.3B; Funds Raised Through IPOs Surge 5.6x YoY

HKEX (00388.HK) released its monthly market highlights reporting an average daily turnover of $272.3 billion for January 2026, an 89% increase from $143.8 billion in the same period last year. In the IPO market, there were 13 newly listed companies in January, an increase of 63% when compared with 8 for the same period last year. Funds raised through IPOs was $39.3 billion, an increase of 555% when compared with $6 billion for the same period last year.
