The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, together with seven other departments, recently issued an implementation plan for high-quality development of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) industry in 2026-30. The plan proposes to initially form a coordinated development system for the full industrial chain of the TCM industry by 2030, while enhancing the stable supply capacity of key TCM raw materials. It also aims for significant improvements in digital intelligence and green levels, breakthroughs in a number of key technologies, and a marked boost to collaborative innovation in the industry.
