US bourse opened lower and trended lower on Thursday amid intensified risk-off sentiment and persistent sell-off pressure on techs. The DJIA slid further, ending down 592 points or 1.2% at 48,908. Amazon (AMZN.US), which reported earnings after the market close, nosedived 4.4%. Tesla (TSLA.US) declined 2.2%. Nvidia (NVDA.US) lost 1.3%. Apple (AAPL.US) edged down 0.2%. Alphabet (GOOG.US) logged a 30% profit hike last quarter, exceeding expectations, with capex expected to double this year. The stock initially slipped 8%, and ultimately closed down only 0.6%. Qualcomm (QCOM.US) beat expectations in its last fiscal quarter results, but its guidance was disappointing, leading to an 8.5% plunge in its stock price. Bitcoin plummeted further, cascading over 15% to bottom at USD62,300.
