Guangzhou to Accelerate Establishment of Greater Bay Area Int'l Commercial Bank to Support Cross-border Asset Mgmt Center Development

Sun Zhiyang, Deputy Secretary of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of the Guangzhou Municipal Government, said today (28th) that, Guangzhou will focus on facilitating cross-border personnel mobility, expanding the scope of mutual recognition of professional qualifications, iteratively releasing a list of overseas professional qualification recognition for facilitated practice, and simplifying the approval process for practitioners from Hong Kong and Macau, including financial and healthcare professionals, to practice in Guangzhou, according to Chinese media.

Guangzhou will focus on promoting mutual financial market access, thoroughly implement the '30 Financial Measures for Nansha,' accelerate the establishment of the Greater Bay Area International Commercial Bank, and support the development of the Greater Bay Area (Guangzhou Nansha) cross-border asset management center, Sun added.
