Macau delivered strong GGR growth at the start of 2026, Jefferies report indicated. For the seven days ending January 11, Macau's GGR averaged MOP693 million per day, representing an 18% YoY increment. The broker's industry survey suggested that the entire month of January is expected to achieve a YoY growth of 15-21%. In spite of this, investors recently shifted their preference towards US regional gaming stocks, while Jefferies estimated these data support the broker's view that stocks primarily operating in Macau have better fundamentals than their peers. Jefferies continued to favor Wynn (WYNN.US) and Las Vegas Sands (LVS.US) in the US market, as well as GALAXY ENT (00027.HK) and SANDS CHINA LTD (01928.HK) in the Hong Kong market.
