The HSI opened 123 points or 0.5% higher at 26,272. The HSCEI grew 31 points or 0.35% to 9,070. The HSTECH rose 21 points or 0.4% to 5,699. HANG SENG BANK (00011.HK) opened up 0.3% at HKD154.4 following the approval of the privatization resolution at its shareholder meeting. HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK) added 0.9% to HKD125.4. CKH HOLDINGS (00001.HK) edged 0.5% higher to HKD55.4. It is said to have appointed Goldman Sachs and UBS to handle the listing of AS Watson in Hong Kong and London. BABA-W (09988.HK) surged 3.8% to HKD148 at open. Citi said in its report that it still anticipates the group to achieve rapid growth in cloud business revenue. Among other tech stocks, JD-SW (09618.HK) and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) opened 3.3% and 3% higher. TENCENT (00700.HK) remained flat at HKD616. KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) and MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) dropped 0.9% and 1%. BIDU-SW (09888.HK) fell 2.5%. NTES-S (09999.HK) inched up 0.1%. Chip stock SMIC (00981.HK) climbed 0.7%. Its peer HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) shed 1.7%. In terms of new listings, MINIMAX-WP (00100.HK) opened at HKD235.4, 42.7% higher than its listing price of HKD165. JINXUN RESOURCE (03636.HK) opened at HKD38, 26.7% higher than its listing price of HKD30. RIBOLIFE-B (06938.HK) opened at HKD75, 29.4% higher than its listing price of HKD57.97.
