Precious metals prices ticked up on Tuesday, with gold prices rebounding narrowly and silver surging by 10%.

Spot gold last increased by US$7 or 0.2% to US$4,339 per ounce. Gold futures for February delivery gained US$42.7 or 1% to US$4,386.3 per ounce.
