Zhou Rongfeng, Director of the Highway Bureau of the Ministry of Transport (MOT), said today (23rd) that more than 10,000 charging plugs will be constructed in highway service areas across mainland China next year, with high-power charging connectors accounting for no less than 25%.

In service areas particularly busy during major holidays and those with a daily utilization rate of charging facilities exceeding 40%, high-power newly constructed charging facilities will be adopted in principle, Zhou added.
