It is reported that the US Department of Defense (DOD) planned to add Alibaba Group Holding (BABA.US), Baidu (BIDU.US) and BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) in the 1260H list, Morgan Stanley issued a research report saying. The broker continued to believe that Alibaba benefits from China's AI, with its largest full stack cloud infrastructure meeting relevant industry demand. Therefore, Morgan Stanley reiterated rating at Overweight on Alibaba Group Holding, and kept rating at Equalweight for Baidu. TENCENT (00700.HK) was also included in the list in January, denting its share price by 6%, but it corrected within a month, Morgan Stanley noted.
