Spooked by poor sales of Apple's first-generation iPhone Air, smartphone makers like XIAOMI-W (01810.HK), OPPO, and vivo have recently canceled their Air model projects and integrated the eSIM solutions dedicated to the Air models into regular models, Chinese media reported.

In contrast, LENOVO GROUP (00992.HK) and TRANSSION (688036.SH) still retain Air models, according to the report.
