CN 3Q Current Account Surplus in RMB Terms RMB1.39T w/ Direct Investment into CN Maintaining Net Inflow

In 3Q25, China recorded a current account surplus of RMB1.39 trillion, according to data from the State Administrative of Foreign Exchange (SAFE). Of which, goods trade surplus was RMB1.92 trillion, while service trade deficit was RMB352 billion.

Primary income deficit amounted to RMB232.4 billion, while secondary income surplus amounted to RMB57.9 billion. The capital and financial account (including net errors and omissions for the quarter) recorded a deficit of RMB1.39 trillion, with net inflows from direct investment into China maintained.
