Goldman Sachs has issued a research report estimating copper prices to hover between USD10,000 and USD11,000 per ton in light of resource constraints and structural demand growth in key industries.

Considering the shutdown of the Grasberg mine in Indonesia, US interest rate cuts, and further depreciation of the USD, the broker raised its 2026 copper price forecast from USD10,000 to USD10,500 per ton, but maintained its 2027 forecast at USD10,750 per ton.
