In September, foreign capital inflows into Chinese equities rebounded to USD4.6 billion, the highest monthly level since November 2024, mainly attributable to USD5.2 billion of passive fund inflows and outflows of only USD600 million from active funds, according to a Morgan Stanley research report on China's market.

As of September 30, cumulative inflows into foreign long-only funds (including both passive and active) improved further to USD6 billion, marking a sharp reversal from the USD17 billion net outflow in 2024.
