McDonald's is planning to sell around 23 retail properties in Hong Kong in phases, according to market sources cited by the Hong Kong Economic Times. It is understood that McDonald's deployment began earlier this year, and a surveying firm was selected for the task last week. In addition, this move will only involve the sale of properties, with no changes made to the number of restaurants or operations in Hong Kong. McDonald's aims to initially auction 8 retail properties, with bids closing in September, said the report. Depending on the response, the remaining properties will be auctioned next year.
