Ernst & Young Raises Full-yr HK IPO Fundraising Forecast to $160B

In 1H25, Hong Kong will have 40 companies listed, raising about $108.7 billion, up 33% and 7.11x YoY, temporarily ranking first in the world, Ringo Choi, Asia Pacific IPO Managing Partner at Ernst & Young (EY), said. Of which, CATL (03750.HK) raised US$5.252 billion, the highest in Hong Kong and in the world.

EY revised its forecast for Hong Kong's 2025 capital raising from $120 billion to $160 billion. Choi also believed that Hong Kong's annual capital raising is likely to remain the world's No. 1, as there is a gap of about US$6.4 billion between Hong Kong and Nasdaq Stock Market, which ranks second globally in terms of annual capital raising.
