ByteDance’s Doubao foundation model 1.6 was officially released, featuring three models: Doubao-Seed-1.6-thinking, Doubao-Seed-1.6, and Doubao-Seed-1.6-flash. Taking the thinking model as an example, it enhances reasoning capabilities and supports multimodal inputs. Doubao-Seed-1.6 supports three thinking modes: on, off, and auto. For instance, in the National College Entrance Examination (Gaokao) Math Section (New Volume I) in China, the Doubao foundation model scored 144 points, ranking first nationwide. ByteDance CEO Liang Rubo stated at a conference that it’s essential to promote good technology and enable deep customer adoption to maintain the company’s technological competitiveness.
