DeepSeek, which had been temporarily suspended from downloads in South Korea, was re-launched on South Korean app markets on Monday after announcing South Korea's “Guidelines on Personal Information Processing” and revising some of its terms and conditions, marking the first time DeepSeek was re-launched in about two months. In response to the South Korean Personal Information Protection Commission's Thursday accusation that the Company transferred users' personal information outside of the country without their consent, failed to disclose its processing practices and transferred user instructions to a cloud service platform owned by ByteDance, DeepSeek has published and added new rules for the transfer of users' personal information in South Korea, meanwhile labeling that users have the right to opt out of the transfer of their personal data to 3 companies in China and one company in the US.
