Huawei is preparing to test its latest and most powerful AI processor, the Ascend 910D, according to Reuters, citing sources. The company has approached certain Chinese tech firms to evaluate the chip’s technical feasibility, aiming to excel the performance of Nvidia (NVDA.US)'s H100 chip, sources divulged. Huawei expects to receive the first batch of Ascend 910D samples as early as late May 2025.
