The four-day Easter holiday ending on April 21 beat expectations, with tourism operators reporting an average daily visitor count of 130,000, sharply above that in the same period of last year, according to the Macao Daily News.

The balanced distribution of tourists throughout the holiday, with many exploring local districts, was described as a "good starter" for revitalizing the community economy. Tourism operators are optimistic about an even stronger turnout during the May 1 Golden Week.

Andy Wu, Chairman of Travel Industry Council of Macau (TICM), noted that tourists enthusiastically explored districts for food and photo opportunities during the Easter holiday, propelling local consumption.

While Hong Kong and mainland visitors showed cautious spending due to economic conditions, Wu emphasized that sustained visitor flows are key to energizing the community economy.
