While interpreting the CPI and PPI data for March 2025, Dong Lijuan, Chief Statistician of the Urban Department of China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), said that in March, the development of high-tech industries was rapid, policies promoting consumption and equipment upgrades were effective, and the supply and demand structure in some industries improved alongside positive changes in prices.

During the period, demand increased in some consumer goods manufacturing and equipment manufacturing industries, pushing prices upward. Among them, the manufacturing prices of new energy vehicles (NEVs) decreased by 1.1% YoY, with the decline narrowing by 1.6 ppts compared to the previous month.
