Paul Chan: 4th Batch of Key Enterprises to Invest HKD50B in HK, Create 20K Jobs in Coming Yrs

Hong Kong’s Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises (OASES) held a signing ceremony for key enterprises today (8th), welcoming the fourth batch of strategic enterprise partners to establish a presence in Hong Kong.

This batch includes 18 companies, such as Ant Digital Technologies’ Hong Kong subsidiary, Certified Kernel Tech (CertiK), Baidu’s self-driving unit, Li Auto, along with two companies from the US and one from Singapore.

In his speech at the ceremony, Financial Secretary Paul Chan stated that these enterprises are expected to entail HKD50 billion in investment to Hong Kong over the next few years, creating 20,000 jobs.

Many of these companies plan to set up global or regional headquarters or research and development centers in Hong Kong, Chan revealed.
