UBS' analysts estimated that US President Donald Trump's reciprocal tariffs would lead Apple (AAPL.US) to increase the price of its top-end smartphone, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, by as much as US$350, up 29% over the phone's current price of US$1,199, according to CNBC. UBS also forecasted that the price of the iPhone 16 Pro could hike by US$120 from its current price of US$999. Based on the broker's company-level research, the report added that there is a great deal of uncertainty about how the supply chain will share the cost increases, the cost amount that will be passed on to consumers and the duration for which tariffs will remain in place.
