MEITUAN-W (03690.HK)’s Ella Supermarket plans to relaunch offline stores and is currently recruiting project engineering managers to handle site selection and construction work, Chinese news broke. The first batch of stores will open in Beijing, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, with an internal target of launching the first store in May. Ella Supermarket is a new convenience store model introduced by Meituan, allowing customers to place orders via the Meituan app and either pick up their purchases at designated Ella Supermarket locations or have them delivered to their homes.
