Both supply and demand in China's service sector rose in March, with accelerating expansion pace. The Caixin China General Services Business Activity Index (service PMI) for March was 51.9, up 0.5 ppts from February and the highest in 3 months, according to Caixin.com. Supply and demand in the service sector continued to expand, but employment resumed contraction and prices weakened, with market sentiment remaining generally optimistic. The Caixin China Manufacturing PMI added 0.4 ppts to 51.2 in March, while the prosperity of the two major industries elevated, jointly boosting the composite PMI output index up 0.3 ppts to 51.8 in the same month, setting a 4-month new high, showing that the overall production and operation activities of domestic enterprises recorded stable growth.
