SINOPEC CORP Teams Up w/ CATL to Build 10K Battery Swap Stations

SINOPEC CORP's (00386.HK) (600028.SH) Chairman Ma Yongsheng and General Manager Zhao Dong, together with CATL's (300750.SZ) Chairman and CEO Robin Zeng, witnessed the signing of an industrial and capital cooperation framework agreement in Beijing, according to Xinhua Finance. Under the agreement, both parties will comprehensively deepen their long-term strategic partnership through "industrial cooperation + capital cooperation". They will jointly establish a nationwide battery swap network ecosystem and standard construction and achieve unified management of battery swap assets. This year, they aim to build no less than 500 battery swap stations, with a future goal of constructing 10,000 stations, promoting the development of new battery swap infrastructure in China.
