U.S. President Donald Trump, during a meeting on Wednesday (2nd), evaluated a proposal for ByteDance to divest TikTok’s U.S. operations, with only a few days remaining until the April 5 deadline for the TikTok ban extension, Bloomberg quoted people familiar with the matter. The White House is pondering on a deal involving Oracle (ORCL.US) and Blackstone Group (BX.US), with Trump set to discuss the matter with Vice President James David Vance and other senior officials. It remains unclear whether ByteDance and China are involved in the negotiations.
