IMF Data: USD Shr in Global FX Reserves Elevates to 57.8%

The total amount of U.S. dollar holdings in global reserves declined in 4Q24, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). However, the actual percentage share of the USD held increased. The USD’s share of global foreign exchange reserves gained 0.5 ppts QoQ to 57.8%. Meanwhile, the EUR’s share sank 0.2 ppts to 19.8%; the JPY's share dropped 1 bp to 5.82%; and the GBP's share decreased 0.25 ppts to 4.73%.
