Xin Guobin, Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology, said at the China EV100 Forum 2025 that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) will grasp the preparation of the new period intelligent connected new energy vehicle industrial development plan, and solidly promote the high-quality development of China's auto industry. The MIIT will support leadership of leading enterprises and integration & innovation of small, medium and large enterprises to accelerate the basic technologies such as key materials for power batteries, auto chips and foundations models; and the key component technologies such as new system batteries, fuel cells that have high power and long life, and efficient hybrid engines, so as to provide inexhaustible endogenous power for the development of the industry, Xin added.
