TSMC Board Member Paul Liu: No Discussion of Taking Over Intel Foundry Division Ever Held by Board

It was previously reported that TSMC (TSM.US) has proposed to NVIDIA (NVDA.US), Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.US) and Broadcom (AVGO.US) an investment in a joint venture that would operate Intel (INTC.US)'s fabs, according to Taiwan media.

In this regard, Paul Liu, TSMC board member, today (19th) responded that it's like diesel and gasoline that are hard to burn together, and so far, TSMC's board has never discussed taking over Intel's foundry division.
