NIO-SW (09866.HK) (NIO.US) and CATL (300750.SZ) signed a strategic cooperation agreement last night (17th) in Ningde, Fujian. Based on the global automotive industry's transformation and upgrading trends, both parties will leverage their respective advantages in technology, management, platform, and brand resources to create the world's largest and most advanced passenger vehicle (PV) battery swap service network. According to the agreement, CATL will support the development of NIO's battery swap network, while the new models subsequently developed by NIO's Firefly brand will timely incorporate CATL's Chocolate battery swap standard and network.
