BYD COMPANY Unveils Super e-Platform; 1MW Charging Power Sets Fuel and Electric Parity in Charging Speed

BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) (002594.SZ) held a Super e-Platform technology launch event and pre-sale conference for the Han L and Tang L models, during which it unveiled the revolutionary Super e-Platform, along with flash charging batteries, 30,000 RPM motors, and a new generation of automotive-grade silicon carbide power chips with comprehensive upgrades to the core three electric systems. In terms of charging speed, a charging power of 1MW (1,000kW) realizes the highest peak charging speed in mass production globally at 2km per second. By supporting a 10C charging rate, it achieves the fastest charging speed in mass production worldwide, namely charging for 5 minutes to travel 400km. Wang Chuanfu, chairman and president of BYD Group, said at the conference that the company aims to completely resolve users' charging anxiety and make the charging time for electric vehicles as short as the refueling time for gasoline vehicles, eventually achieving fuel and electric parity in charging speed.
