JD-SW (09618.HK) is set to launch its first self-operated offline "JD MALL" in Hong Kong, focusing on home appliance sales, according to sources cited by Ming Pao. The e-commerce giant has been preparing to expand its operations in the city since last year, including hiring staff with experience in appliance retail and scouting for store locations. In November 2024, JD announced the opening of its inaugural JD MALL in Shenzhen. Spanning nearly 30,000 square meters, the Shenzhen store is slated to officially open during this year’s "JD 618" shopping festival. As of November 2024, JD MALL operates 17 stores nationwide, with additional outlets under construction in cities like Beijing, Nanjing, and Chengdu.
