Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) has received authorization from Comision Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV), Spain’s national securities market commission, to provide custody and trading services for Bitcoin and Ethereum to retail clients in Spain. BBVA stated that the service will initially be rolled out to a select group of users, with plans to gradually expand access to all private clients in Spain over the coming months.
