Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller revealed that he does not wish to push for a rate cut at the March policy meeting. Instead, he said that he wants to see more data on economic conditions before implementing further rate cuts, especially considering the trade policy changes under the Donald Trump administration.

The uncertainty of tariff policies, Waller added, has also led to cautious attitudes in the private sector and households, but it may also begin to manifest in retail sales and capital expenditures.
