At the 2025 Mobile World Congress, CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK) General Manager He Biao stated that the GTI international cooperation platform, initiated by seven operators in 2011, has grown to house 146 operators and 266 industry partners. It plays a pivotal role in the global information industry’s development. China Mobile has consistently driven GTI’s progress, aiming to build the world’s largest 5G and fiber broadband networks. Its 5G-A network now covers more than 330 cities, with several large-scale single-cluster intelligent computing centers put into operation. The company’s computing network brain has achieved large-scale commercial use, and it has promoted over 48,000 5G+ and AI+ projects. He added that, to fully advance its AI+ action plan, China Mobile has developed the “Jiutian” multimodal general foundation model and deployed over 40 industry-specific foundation models across sectors such as industry, transportation, and government services. By amassing ultra-large-scale, high-quality industry datasets, the company is facilitating AI integration across various sectors. Looking ahead, China Mobile will continue to enhance R&D in key technologies such as 6G, computing power networks, and intrinsic security, providing robust momentum for digital and intelligent innovation.
