XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) announced the global debut of its optical pre-research technology, the "Xiaomi modular optical system" at MWC 2025. Lei Jun, XIAOMI-W's Chairman and CEO, revealed that the sensor's CMOS area is twice the size of 1 inch, making it the largest sensor size for smartphone lenses in the industry to date. As indicated by the official promotional video, this system features a magnetic detachable lens utilizing a custom M4/3 sensor and a fully aspherical lens group, which can deliver a complete 100MP, equivalent to a 35mm focal length.
