Trump Announces TSMC's US$100B Investment in Building US Chip Plants

US President Donald Trump announced Monday that TSMC (TSM.US) will invest US$100 billion to support the US chip manufacturing industry.

The new investment increases TSMC's total investment in the US to US$165 billion, and will be used to build 5 new manufacturing plants in Arizona.
