China's liquified natural gas (LNG) imports fell to the lowest level in 5 years last month due to weak demand and higher natural gas prices in Europe luring cargoes there, according to Bloomberg. The report quoted third-party data as saying that China's LNG imports for February amounted to 4.5 million tons, the second consecutive month that China lagged behind Japan.
