On the day before yesterday (26th), aerial photographs taken in the construction site of CHINA TELECOM (00728.HK)'s Central Big Data Center Network Security Base Project Phase I located in Dongxihu District, Wuhan City show that the outdoor works and mechanical & electrical works are still being finalized and surveyed, and the base is expected to be put into operation within the year, according to Hubei Daily. The project has a total planned investment of RMB5 billion, covering an area of 382 mu and constructing 13 data center exchanges, mainly providing intelligent computing power services in AI field, pursuant to the introduction. Internet customers such as China Telecom Cloud Technology, BABA-W (09988.HK) and TENCENT (00700.HK), as well as users from the government affairs, finance, securities, medical and other industries, have expressed their intention to settle in the project.
